Tony Georgiades began his martial arts career in Feb of 1974 in Midwest City, Oklahoma, training with Sensei Tom Haggerty in Okinawan Shoreikan Goju-Ryu. Tony received his 6th Dan Black Belt from Tom Haggerty in 2000. He currently holds an 8th Dan in Budo-Kai Goju. Tony earned a 3rd degree Black Belt in Shorin-ryu karate in 1985 and a Shodan in Aibu-jutsu Ryu Ju-jitsu in Feb 1981, and reached “Senior Blade Master” level in Mushin-kan edged weapons in October 2009.
He was awarded certificates qualifying him as a Krav Maga and Israel Combat Pistol Instructor by Marty Cale, head of the United States Krav Maga Association.
In sport karate, Tony was ranked in the 1978 edition of “The World Journal Martial Arts” world rankings as the 10th contender in the full-contact karate middleweight division and 7th in the world in semi-contact tournament fighting. “Official Karate” magazine rated him 4th in the central region during this same timeframe. Tony is the only contender to knock down Bill "Superfoot" Wallace for an eight count during their fight in Denver, Colorado in May 1980.
Tony was listed in the 1982/83 edition of “Who’s Who in Karate” and he was awarded the “Courage and Valor Award” for his efforts to find survivors in the Murray building bombing in Oklahoma City in 1995. Tony was inducted into the 2015 US Black Belt Hall of Fame as “Soke of the Year” and founder of Budo-Kai Goju.
Tony is a retired peace officer and Council on Law Enforcement and Education (C.L.E.E.T) certified defensive tactics instructor, which included providing instruction on empty hands defensive tactics, expandable baton, oleorisen capsicum (OC) spray, handcuffing techniques, defensive driving, and knife defense. He has trained police officers from Oklahoma to Afghanistan where he implemented a training program for the Afghanistan police officers in Badghis province in 2007. Tony was awarded two bronze star medals for his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tony is the owner of NRG Productions INC. and head instructor for TeamNRG. He has presented at the Idea World Convention twice and the Idea “FACTFEST” in Chicago training fitness instructors from around the world cardio kickboxing and the kinesiology of fighting. Additionally he has trained over five hundred fitness instructors in anatomy, kinesiology, personal training, indoor cycling, and elastomer techniques.
In 2021 he was inducted into the Who's Who Martial Arts Hall of Honors and received the Who's Who Legends Award and was included in the Ernie Reyes Changing Lives Series Vol. 6 book.
Tony is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Army National Guard. His last assignment was as the Oklahoma state Anti-Terrorist/Force Protection officer and head instructor for the Oklahoma Army National Guard’s armed carry program and the Active-threat Rapid Response Team (ARRT).
WITH THE PASSING, IN 2014, OF BUDO-KAI INTERNATIONAL FOUNDER, SENSEI JOHN THOMAS HAGGERTY, BUDO-KAI INTERNATIONAL AND THE TITLE OF KAICHO WERE PASSED DOWN TO HIS ICHIBAN BLACK BELT, HANSHI TONY GEORGIADES.
After returning from military service in 1968, Hachidan Pollman attended college in Weatherford, Oklahoma where he resumed his martial arts training in earnest. At one point he took a year off from college in order to study with Ichiro Takahata in Oklahoma City. Ichiro was a black belt graduate of Master Toguchi, senior student of Chojun Miyagi, of Naha, Okinawa. For the past ten years, Hachidan Pollman has attended Karate College at Radford University in Radford, VA. studying with such artists like Scott “Conan” Mincey, Joe Lewis, Bill Wallace, Dr. Jerry Beasley, Benny the Jet and many many others. In 1988 he won the Oklahoma State Heavyweight Championship in the Oklahoma State Games. In the nationals, Chris had the honor of fighting Randy Dressler in the National Finals even though he lost it was one of the toughest fights of the night. He is the only black belt competitor to be in the top ten in four separate divisions. In 1988 at the age of 42 Chris was in the top ten in Open Black Belt Fighting, Executive Black Belt Fighting, Open Forms and Weapons. He retired from competition in 1989 but still spars and trains with his students regularly. The training philosophy at Chris Pollman's Karate Academy is to blend the ancient traditional martial arts with modern teaching methods in order to empower his students with belief in themselves, by first showing them how to become successful in martial arts then, translate that success into other aspects of their lives. Hachidan Pollman's strongest strength is to always belief in himself and his ability to improve through teaching students.

Completed and retired after a 40 year career in Law Enforcement with a large part of his career time spent in Police Academy Operations and management. Served a dual role as a Academy Bureau Chief and lead instructor in the area of Law Enforcement Arrest and Defensive Tactics in the states of Oklahoma and New Mexico. In this role instructed all Defensive Tactics instructors certified in those states and taught approximately 15,000 basic students during employment (1980-2003).
Worked as a street police officer beginning with the Oklahoma City Police Department, included the Edmond, Police Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Oklahoma Probation and Parole Officer and Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training (State of Oklahoma Academy), Oklahoma Department of Correction Training Academy and the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Academy. Soke Dean Bridges has been in the martial arts for over 40 years studying Tai Koshi Do, Tae Kwon Do, American Karate, Bushido Kempo, Aikijitsu, Jeet Kune Do, Kenpo and Krav Maga.
Dean studied Tai Koshi Do under the late Shodai Wayne L. Davis. Upon Shodai Davis passing away Dean inherited the style and was appointed as Soke.
Dean is an NRA Certified Pistol instructor, a Krav Maga Expert Level 2, Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting, Israeli Combat Pistol, Israeli Combat Rifle, Krav Maga Defensive Tactics, Krav Maga Personal Protection Security, and Tactical Driving instructor.
Dean has taught martial arts for over 35 years training such units as the Afghanistan National Army, Dominican Republic Air Force Special Force unit and their Republic Navy, Marines and Army units. Additionally, he has trained the Tennessee Air National Guard Security Forces, the Oklahoma Active Threat Rapid Response Team, and instructed in Personal Protection courses in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Colorado.
Dean served for 25 years in the Oklahoma Army National Guard in positions ranging from a Fire Team leader to a Brigade Command Sergeant Major. During this time frame Dean served in two combat zone tours to include working as a Combat Advisor in Afghanistan and as the Command Sergeant Major for the International Zone in Bagdad, Iraq.
Dean is a pastor for the Bar None Cowboy Church in Afton, OK and owner operator of Nowata Krav Maga and chief instructor for his company Team Phoenix Instructions LLC.
Renshi Daniel Metzger began his martial arts career during the Summer of 2001 under Sensei Tom Haggerty in the style of Okinawan Goju Ryu, and earned his first blackbelt in 2007. In 2004 he began study in Mushin Kan Aiki Ju Jitsu and Mushin Kan Edged Weapons under Coach John Douvillier. In 2012, he began studying under Hanshi John Boren in Aibujutsu Ryu and Pekiti Tirsia Kali. In 2013 he began formal study with Hanshi Tony Georgiades in Budo Kai Goju. Daniel Metzger can currently be found instructing at The Fighting Arts Academy out of Shawnee Oklahoma.
